OB TITLE: Creative Account Manager
LOCATION: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
JOB TYPE: Contract


 

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Account Manager to lead the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications campaigns. This role will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and creative teams, ensuring delivery of high-quality, on-brand, multi-channel campaigns aligned with strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary Account Manager and communications strategist for marketing campaigns
  • Lead development and execution of multi-channel campaigns (digital, print, social, video, etc.)
  • Write and manage creative briefs and provide strategic recommendations
  • Partner with copywriters, designers, and creative teams to deliver campaigns
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and communications teams
  • Ensure brand consistency and high-quality output
  • Support online marketing channel improvements
  • Assist in crisis/storm response communications when needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, English, or related field
  • 8+ years of Account Management / Creative Project Management experience
  • Experience leading multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Strong experience writing creative briefs
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience collaborating with copywriters and designers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in advertising, branding, and marketing communications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agency or in-house agency experience
  • Experience with work management tools (e.g., Workamajig)
  • Exposure to energy/utilities industry
  • Familiarity with Kanban principles
