Type: Internship / Fellowship (4 or 6-month) Location: Portland, Oregon preferred (remote considered) About HILOS HILOS is building the first 3D design platform made specifically for footwear - no CAD required. Powered by machine learning, our core geometry engine breaks down barriers between 2D and 3D, design and manufacturing. Our cross-functional team sits at the intersection of footwear and software, combining craft and intelligence to give designers a second brain and third hand. We''re here to amplify human impact in real-world creation - and we believe the tools should be just as inspiring as the work they enable. As a startup we prioritize individual growth, ownership, being proactive and transparent. We''re a small and dynamic team assembled from around the world across software, 3D design, and footwear industries. Highly curious and multifaceted personalities thrive here. There''s a lot of freedom and responsibility, not a lot of support resources or process constraints. The Fellowship This is a hands-on, portfolio-building role - not a coffee-fetching internship. You''ll work directly with HILOS leadership to shape the visual identity and marketing presence of an emerging design platform: producing original photography, video, and graphic design; building social content systems; and contributing to campaigns that reach designers and manufacturers around the world. We''re building something genuinely new at the edge of digital fabrication and creative technology. If you want real-world experience creating content that matters - not mock briefs - this is the fellowship for you. What You''ll Work On Photography & Visual Content - Shoot and edit original photo content: product, studio, lifestyle, event. Build a visual library that shows what HILOS makes possible. Help define the aesthetic language of the brand. Video & Cinematography - Produce short-form video for Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Document behind-the-scenes moments, product demos, community events, and designer stories. Basic editing and motion graphics a plus. Graphic Design - Design social assets, email layouts, event graphics, and presentation decks. Contribute to a lightweight, evolving brand system that keeps every touchpoint feeling cohesive. Marketing Support - Assist with email campaigns, community content, and launch moments. Write captions and short-form copy that sounds like a person, not a press release.
