Credentialed Veterinary Technician

VCA Wakefield Animal Hospital is hiring a a full time Certified Veterinary Technician to help support our growing hospital team.

Our AAHA-accredited, 12-doctor general and exotics practice is located in a new facility just 20 minutes north of Boston and 20 minutes south of New Hampshire.

• When it comes to Fear Free, we put our money where our mouth is. Our new (December 2020) facility is designed with separate entrances, lobbies, exam rooms, holding areas, and treatment areas for dogs and cats/exotics.
• We have iCalm music piped throughout the lobbies, exam rooms, and holding areas.
• More than half of our 65 associates are Fear Free Certified, and we'll pay for your online Fear Free and Veterinary Technician training.
• We see 54% dogs, 24% cats, and 22% exotics (including reptiles, birds, small mammals, and aquatics).
• Only about 15% of animal hospitals are accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association, a distinction we've held for more than 40 years.

Schedule: Full time, (5) days a week

Compensation: $25.00 - $29.00 / hour is based on skill set, experience, and licensure status.
