What You'll Be Doing
- Evaluate high volume commercial credit applications and perform thorough credit due diligence to determine customer creditworthiness and financial risk.
- Analyze business financial statements, commercial and personal credit reports, accounts receivable aging reports, payment histories, and other financial documentation.
- Review credit applications from customers of varying sizes, including small businesses and contractors .
- Process new credit applications, account reactivations, national accounts, and account additions in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Enter applicant information into company credit scoring systems, interpret results, and approve or deny applications in accordance with established credit policies.
- Partner with Sales and Operations teams to provide timely credit decisions while minimizing disruptions to equipment rental transactions.
- Support collections activities for cash-on-delivery (COD) accounts as needed.
- Utilize AS400, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office to manage credit information, account activity, reporting, and daily workflows.
- Apply sound judgment when evaluating exceptions, incomplete financial information, and situations that require creative problem-solving.
Position Requirements
- 2+ years of related experience
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable (A/R), credit risk assessment, credit reports, aging reports, and financial statement analysis.
- Experience evaluating commercial credit applications and making credit recommendations or approval decisions.
- Construction, equipment rental, or manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with contractors, construction-related credit accounts, and an understanding of applicable lien laws is a significant plus.
