Position Overview
We are seeking a Credit Analyst to support the commercial lending team with financial analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management. The ideal candidate will have approximately 3 years of banking or commercial credit experience and a strong understanding of financial statements and credit fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other borrower information.
- Prepare credit analyses, loan presentations, annual reviews, and renewals.
- Assist lenders with underwriting C&I and commercial real estate loans.
- Evaluate cash flow, debt service coverage, leverage, liquidity, and collateral.
- Monitor existing relationships and identify potential credit risks.
- Ensure credit decisions and documentation comply with bank policies.
- Partner with lenders and portfolio managers to support sound credit decisions.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of banking or commercial credit experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
- Strong financial statement and cash flow analysis skills.
- Knowledge of commercial lending and credit underwriting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
