About the Role:
Robert David Malove PA is looking for a driven and passionate Criminal Associate Attorney to join our team in Gainesville, FL. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced legal professionals, advocate for clients in high-stakes criminal matters, and build a meaningful career in criminal defense law.



Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in criminal defense matters across state and/or federal courts
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, briefs, and other court documents
• Manage a caseload from intake through resolution, including trials and hearings
• Communicate regularly with clients, keeping them informed on case status and strategy
• Negotiate with prosecutors on plea agreements and case dispositions
• Appear in court for arraignments, hearings, depositions, and trials
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active Florida Bar license in good standing
• Mimimum 5 years of Prior experience in criminal law, criminal defense, or related litigation preferred
• Strong courtroom presence and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical abilities
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Client-focused mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills
