The ideal candidate has experience in performing general, preventative, and emergency maintenance of data center equipment and infrastructure, as well as strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, plumbing, and process systems operation and maintenance in a critical data center environment.

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and install electrical systems supporting mission-critical data center operations
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on switchgear, UPS systems, generators, transformers, PDUs, VFDs, motors, and power distribution equipment
  • Support electrical infrastructure ranging from 120/208V through medium-voltage distribution systems
  • Respond to electrical alarms, equipment failures, and emergency events to maximize uptime and reliability
  • Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), switching procedures, and energized work practices in accordance with NFPA 70E standards
  • Read and interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, electrical prints, and control drawings
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Construction teams on commissioning, upgrades, and reliability improvements
  • 5+ years of industrial, commercial, mission-critical, utility, semiconductor, manufacturing, or data center electrical experience
  • Experience troubleshooting switchgear, breakers, transformers, motor controls, UPS systems, generators, and power distribution equipment
  • Knowledge of medium-voltage electrical systems preferred
  • Strong understanding of NFPA 70E, NEC, electrical safety, and LOTO practices
  • Ability to perform electrical testing using multimeters, meggers, power quality meters, and related diagnostic equipment
  • Experience supporting critical uptime environments is highly preferred
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience preferred

Essential Physical Demands

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain
  • Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
  • Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day
  • Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
  • Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
  • Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, reflective vest, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
