About the Role 

Delta Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our dedicated Anesthesia team. The CRNA will be responsible for administering safe, effective, and cost-conscious anesthesia care to patients undergoing elective and emergency procedures. This role includes comprehensive anesthesia services—from pre-anesthesia evaluations to intraoperative management, recovery monitoring, and pain management—across a variety of clinical settings.

 

At Delta Health, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) provide all anesthesia services for our patients. CRNAs are independent, board-certified, Master’s and/or Doctoral trained anesthesia providers. CRNAs have been the exclusive anesthesia providers in Delta County for nearly 40 years. At Delta Health, CRNA’s are available and on-call 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and document thorough pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations.
  • Develop individualized anesthesia care plans for each patient.
  • Administer general, regional, neuraxial, local anesthesia, and sedation techniques.
  • Monitor patients using appropriate non-invasive and invasive modalities.
  • Manage airways and pulmonary status during anesthesia.
  • Administer anesthetic, adjuvant, and accessory drugs and fluids safely.
  • Facilitate emergence from anesthesia and ensure safe recovery.
  • Provide acute and chronic pain management services.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies, including cardiac and respiratory events.
  • Maintain, inspect, and ensure proper function of anesthesia equipment.
  • Restock and order basic anesthesia supplies as needed.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for pre- and post-anesthesia nursing teams.
  • Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings, in-services, and continuing education.
  • Accept additional responsibilities appropriate to clinical expertise and scope of practice.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active CRNA license to practice in the State of Colorado (Required)
  • Certifications:
    • BLS and ACLS (Required upon hire)
    • PALS (Required upon hire or within 6 months)
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of CRNA experience preferred
  • Other Requirements:
    • Must be able to respond to on-call duties within 30 minutes
    • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education

4-day week with rotating call (1 in 6 with rotating weekend call) Post call day off.
