This role is designed for a relationship-driven professional who can connect with business owners, referral partners, consultants, lenders, investors, and service providers to uncover funding needs and payment platform opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable conducting outreach, building referral relationships, gathering preliminary business information, coordinating next steps, and helping move qualified opportunities toward the appropriate funding, merchant account, or business consulting solution. This position may involve opportunities related to low-, medium-, and high-risk merchant accounts, eCommerce and cryptocurrency payment platforms, commercial financing submissions, private equity introductions, and investor outreach campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify business owners, consultants, referral partners, lenders, investors, and service providers who may need or refer merchant services, commercial finance, or capital sourcing solutions.
- Conduct outreach through email, phone, networking, and follow-up campaigns to generate conversations and qualified opportunities.
- Gather preliminary business information from prospects, including funding needs, payment processing needs, business type, industry, revenue profile, project goals, and timeline.
- Support merchant services conversations involving payment platforms, processor options, POS hardware, eCommerce payment setup, cryptocurrency-related payment considerations, and PCI DSS compliance awareness.
- Support capital sourcing opportunities by helping organize information needed for commercial finance companies, private equity groups, investors, or capital raise partners.
- Assist with coordination of documentation, pitch deck requirements, financial information requests, and investor or lender outreach steps when applicable.
- Track prospects, referral sources, conversations, follow-ups, deal status, and next steps using spreadsheets, CRM tools, or internal tracking systems.
- Maintain professional communication with business owners, capital partners, processors, referral sources, and internal Greenlads Payment Services contacts.
- Represent Greenlads Payment Services with integrity, confidentiality, and a consultative approach to business development.
Qualifications
- Experience in business development, sales, referral development, merchant services, payment processing, commercial finance, capital sourcing, investor relations, lending, or consulting.
- Ability to initiate conversations with business owners, executives, consultants, lenders, investors, and referral partners.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain business financing, payment processing, and consulting concepts in a professional and practical manner.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, commission-based, relationship-driven environment.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to track prospects, follow-ups, documents, and deal progress.
- General understanding of small business operations, business cash flow, payment acceptance, merchant accounts, commercial lending, or referral-based sales.
- Professional judgment when handling sensitive business information, financial documentation, and referral relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets, online research, virtual meetings, and basic CRM or contact management tools.
Preferred Experience
- Existing network of business owners, consultants, accountants, brokers, lenders, investors, merchant services professionals, or private capital contacts.
- Experience with merchant services, payment processors, POS systems, eCommerce payment platforms, PCI DSS requirements, or high-risk merchant account referrals.
- Experience with commercial finance, business credit, equipment financing, receivables financing, supply chain financing, private equity, or capital raise referrals.
- Ability to assist with prospect research, lead lists, referral partner outreach, pitch deck coordination, and documentation follow-up.
- Self-starter mindset with an interest in building long-term referral channels and profit-sharing opportunities.
What We Offer
- Commission, referral, and profit-sharing opportunities tied to qualified and closed business.
- Remote, flexible, relationship-based opportunity with nationwide (and some international) reach.
- Ability to work across multiple business solution areas, including merchant services, payment platforms, commercial finance, supply chain financing, and capital sourcing.
- Opportunity to develop long-term referral channels with business owners, consultants, lenders, investors, and service providers.
- Entrepreneurial environment with room to grow based on initiative, relationship development, and successful deal flow.
Estimated Commission Example: Earnings may come from a combination of capital sourcing commissions and merchant services compensation. For example, if a representative helps source a funded capital opportunity of approximately $100,000 to $250,000, commission would typically be based on the agreed referral or success-fee percentage for that transaction. Greenlads Payment Services' capital network may support funding opportunities from $10,000 to $1 Billion, depending on program fit, documentation, approval criteria, and available capital partners. In addition, a representative who boards 20 new merchants under the 4-30 (low risk) or 7-30 (high-risk) service offerings may earn additional residual, referral, or profit-sharing compensation based on approved merchant accounts, monthly processing volume, pricing, risk category, account retention, and program terms. As an illustrative first-year scenario, a representative who closes several qualified capital sourcing opportunities and successfully boards 20 active merchants could potentially earn an estimated $50,000 to $125,000 in combined commissions, residuals, referrals, and profit-sharing compensation. This estimate is for illustration only and is not a guarantee of income; actual earnings will vary based on prospecting activity, approval rates, deal size, funding timelines, merchant processing volume, account retention, program eligibility, and final compensation agreements.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume and a brief note describing your experience with business development, merchant services, commercial finance, capital sourcing, referral partnerships, or investor/lender outreach. Candidates with an existing referral network or experience working independently on commission-based opportunities are encouraged to apply.
