We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused CT Scanner Technologist to perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) procedures in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position is responsible for operating CT imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and producing accurate diagnostic images while following established clinical protocols and radiation safety standards.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional patient care while collaborating effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CT scans in accordance with department policies, physician orders, and established imaging protocols.
Operate and adjust CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Properly position patients while ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity throughout each procedure.
Obtain and verify patient information prior to imaging procedures.
Collaborate with physicians during specialized CT procedures.
Follow radiation safety guidelines and utilize appropriate PPE to protect patients, staff, and visitors.
Recognize emergency situations and activate appropriate assistance when necessary.
Maintain compliance with ARRT Standards of Ethics and ASRT Clinical Practice Standards.
Assist other imaging areas or shifts as needed to support departmental operations.
Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Current Indiana State radiologic license.
Current CPR certification.
Strong understanding of CT imaging procedures and radiation safety principles.
Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous CT imaging experience preferred, but new graduates with appropriate credentials are encouraged to apply.
CT certification through ARRT is preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours / week
