The Lead CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician. Lead CT technologist are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff. Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with director/manager, physician, staff or patient issues.
What you will do in this role:
Assure adequate staffing according to volume, flexing when necessary.
Coordinates daily technologist assignments.
Assures that all exams are completed and put in take status.
Operates all department equipment safely and properly
Teaches and mentors radiology students
Implements proper exposure techniques and positioning.
Demonstrates knowledge of drugs, their actions, side effects and contraindications for administration.
Helps manages supplies in a cost-effective manner.
