An opportunity is available for a skilled imaging professional specializing in CT to provide exceptional diagnostic services in a dynamic healthcare environment. The individual in this role will play a critical part in delivering high-quality imaging that supports accurate diagnosis and patient care.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification in Computed Tomography (CT) through ARRT or equivalent accrediting body.
- Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related field preferred.
- Valid radiologic technologist license as required by state regulations.
- Proven experience operating CT equipment effectively and safely in a healthcare setting.
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy, imaging protocols, and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to recognize image quality issues and troubleshoot as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills when working with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage time efficiently.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety and comfort throughout.
- Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment, monitoring for technical quality and reporting malfunctions.
- Review images for diagnostic accuracy before submission to radiologists.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient confidentiality.
- Follow all applicable radiation safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
