CT Technologist – Travel Assignment (NY / CT Tech)
Location: New York, NY 10032
Assignment Duration: 8 Weeks (1199 Contract – 59-Day Assignment)
Shift: Day Shift – 3x12 Hours
Shift Hours: 11:00 AM – 12:00 AM
Schedule Options: Thursday–Saturday OR Sunday–Tuesday
Weekly Hours: 39 Hours
Compensation
- Local Rate: $64 – $68/hr (based on experience)
- Travel Rate: $70 – $80/hr (includes stipend, based on experience)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist for a high-volume imaging department in New York City. The ideal candidate will be proficient in computed tomography imaging procedures, patient safety protocols, and advanced diagnostic imaging systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to perform independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Operate and maintain CT scanners and related imaging systems
- Ensure patient safety during procedures, including proper contrast administration
- Prepare patients for CT exams and clearly explain procedures
- Verify patient history, screening, and contraindications prior to imaging
- Administer IV contrast media as certified and required
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Review images for quality and completeness before submission to radiologists
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Follow radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program required
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license required
- NYS certification for contrast injection required
- ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography required
- Minimum 1 year of diagnostic imaging experience required
- Proficiency with CT scanner systems (Apex preferred)
- Current ARRT continuing education compliance
- Strong understanding of CT protocols and patient safety procedures
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a high-volume hospital setting
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
