Weekend Program Guidelines:
Eligible participants must have a minimum of 6 months of experience and work 48 weekends per year, 24 hours per weekend (either two 12-hour or three 8-hour shifts per weekend, between the hours of Friday at 3 p.m. and Monday at 7 a.m.
Eligible participants may use up to a total of 96 hours of a combination scheduled and unscheduled Paid Time Off (PTO and Ill Time Off (ITO on the weekends for a maximum of eight weekend shifts off in a fiscal year. Holiday scheduling and work requirements will mirror the department's standard expectations for non-weekend staff.
Recognize relevant years of experience for rate with applicable differential.
Eligibility for annual merit increases will continue.
Weekend program benefits (medical benefits, paid short-term and long-term disability, tuition reimbursement, PTO accrual offered as they would be for full-time staff.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist is required or certified by a CNMT program. ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT registry within 6 months of hire date.
CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained. CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire date.
All CT Technologist working in NY facilities performing contrast media injection are required to have received certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB and be Licensed through the New York State Department of Health.
CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
If practicing under a temporary permit: cannot administer IV contrast or participate in contrast-enhanced CT requiring IV administration duties, must be under direct supervision of licensed radiologic technologist, must obtain ARRT certification within 180 days of permit issue date. Temporary permits expire 180 days from date of issuance, or upon notice that license application denied, or ten days after notification of failure of licensing exam, whichever occurs first.
