As a CT Technologist, you will perform high-quality routine and specialized computed tomography procedures, providing critical data for accurate patient diagnosis. This evening-shift role is designed for a professional who exercises exceptional judgment, maintains a "safety-first" mindset regarding radiation protection, and thrives in a patient-centered hospital environment. You will be responsible for the full scope of the imaging process—from patient preparation and equipment care to image processing—ensuring every patient receives the highest "standard of care."
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnostic Imaging: Perform routine and special procedure CAT scans utilizing advanced radiographic equipment and protocols.
Patient Care & Prep: Prepare patients for procedures, explain the scanning process, and ensure comfort and safety throughout the examination.
Radiologist Collaboration: Assist Radiologists during specialized procedures and ensure all images meet diagnostic standards.
Radiation Safety: Apply rigorous principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patients, self, and the clinical team.
Equipment Stewardship: Prepare, operate, and provide meticulous care for CT equipment; process images and CDs as required.
Operational Excellence: Assume responsibility for assigned areas, adhere to hospital-wide customer service programs, and participate in departmental quality assurance.
Other duties as assigned.
Education: Graduate of an accredited allied health radiography school or hospital-based program.
Licensure: Current NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required.
Certification: * ARRT (R) and/or (CT) certified, OR NMTCB registered (CNMT).
Documented training and experience in CT equipment operation and radiation physics.
Advanced Credential: Must pass the advanced CT examination/certification within 1 year of hire.
Basic Life Support: Current BLS (AHA) required (or must be completed within 90 days of hire).
Health Requirement:Flu vaccine required (Strict policy: no exemptions or exceptions).
Compliance: Participation in "Image Gently" and "Image Wisely" dose pledge initiatives during the probationary period.
Technical Skills:DOH IV Certification is preferred (or must be completed by the end of a 6-month orientation).
Continuing Education: Commitment to upholding 24 ECE credits over a two-year period to meet governing body standards.
Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced hospital radiology department.

Shift:Evening | Monday – Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Weekends: Alternating weekend requirements.
