Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in building maintenance with basic knowledge of OSHA standards, sheet rocking, taping, painting, tiling, and woodworking.

Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

About the Role

The Custodian maintains a safe, clean, and pleasant environment by performing routine cleaning, maintenance, and light repairs in common areas.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned cleaning schedule tasks each shift.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect high-touch surfaces.
  • Clean and maintain common areas including hallways, lobbies, elevators, laundry rooms, and restrooms.
  • Remove trash daily and maintain compactor chutes.
  • Assist with seasonal tasks including snow removal and light landscaping.
  • Perform minor repairs and alert management to larger issues.
  • Ensure fire exits and emergency routes remain clear.
  • Provide customer service to tenants regarding cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Collaborate with maintenance team and assist with setups for events.
  • Report safety hazards immediately.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to maintain building standards.
