Upper Montclair Country Club (UMCC) is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facilities. In this role, you’ll help ensure our club remains a clean, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for our members and staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Performing routine cleaning and custodial duties throughout the facility
- Moving and arranging tables, chairs, and other equipment as needed
- Assisting with basic painting and upkeep projects
- Performing light maintenance and minor repairs
- Repairing equipment or appliances when needed
- Supporting general facility upkeep and responding to urgent maintenance requests
- Taking on additional tasks or special projects as assigned
What We’re Looking For: - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Experience using hand tools and power tools preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Reliable, organized, and punctual
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Availability Requirements: - Must be able to work evening (PM) shifts
- Weekend and holiday availability is required
