What Does a Retail Custodian Do Anyway?
- Keep our store looking its best by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and team members.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, sales floors, processing areas, loading docks, and other areas throughout the store.
- Sweep, mop, dust, wipe down surfaces, and tackle everyday cleaning tasks to keep things sparkling!
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, fixtures, and equipment throughout the store.
- Empty trash containers and properly dispose of waste to keep our store neat and organized.
- Restock restroom essentials like paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and other supplies.
- Safely use and maintain cleaning carts, equipment, and cleaning products.
- Keep cleaning supplies and equipment organized, properly stored, and ready to use.
- Watch for spills, safety hazards, or maintenance concerns and report them to management.
- Follow company cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures to help keep everyone safe.
- Provide friendly and courteous service when interacting with customers, donors, and fellow team members.
- Work alongside our store team to make sure every customer walks into a clean and welcoming shopping environment!
