Round One Entertainment is looking to hire Customer Service Associates for our:
  • Amusement (Arcade) Department.
  • Bowling and Events Department.

The location for our facility is in Reno, NV at the Meadowood Mall.

Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and closing shifts (store closes at 2am).

Essential Duties.
Amusement:
  • Operates POS register for game card sales, registration, balance checks, & prize redemptions.
  • Manages the inventory of department supplies, redemption prizes, & arcade game supplies according to company policies & standards.
  • Maintain a throughout knowledge of the store's arcade game inventory and game operations.
  • Maintain games, signage, & counters clean and visibly attractive to customers.
  • Answers phone calls for all general inquires.
  • Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Bowling and Events:
  • Operates POS system to collect payments and allocate bowling lanes, lend out facility and/or equipment (karaoke, billiards, darts, ping pong).
  • Under the direction of Bowling Management, promotes and conducts marketing events.
  • Resets and cleans the facility once customers are done using them. (Lanes, Karaoke rooms, billiard tables, ping pong and dart areas).
  • Checks conditions of all equipment.
  • Provides customers with bowling tips and techniques.
  • Answers phone calls for all general inquires.
  • Conducts inventory procedure in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Resets, cleans and maintains shoes in the auto shoeser and also conducts laundry of rags.
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by Store Management.
  • Assists with party reservations and hosting parties/events.

Non-Essential Duties:
  • Conducts alcohol and age restriction control in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conducts lost and found procedures in accordance with company policies.
  • Seeks constant improvement or more efficient and less expensive ways and means in department work processes.
  • Reports all irregular issues and problems to executive management for solution.
  • Maintains good communication with customers, management, office staff members and outside contacts.
  • Complies and maintains confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • (Preferred) One to two years' experience in hospitality, restaurant, or retail environment.
  • Closing shift availability preferred (store closes at 2am).

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a bowling center/arcade environment where high levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, climb and have a high level of mobility/flexibility in small spaces.
  • The employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time without breaks during busy times. In addition, the employee will need to be able to use their hands/fingers to handle and feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Lifting and/or moving up to 100lbs with assistance is required.

  • 1 hour of time play (non-prize) arcade games per week.
  • 90 minutes of bowling per week (shoes included).
  • 1 hour of karaoke/billiards per week.
  • 50% discount on food items per working shift.
  • 1 free beverage per working shift.

About Company

Round1 is an multi entertainment activity complex company holding 5 stores in California, 1in Washington, 1 in Texas, 1 in Massachusetts and 1 in Illinois. (as of April, 2016).

Our typical store is around 50,000 square foot age as anchor tenants in shopping malls. In it, we offer bowling, arcade games, billiards, darts, ping pong, food and drinks, a variation that is not matched by other competitors in the industry.

Round1 originated back in 1980 and with the support from the fans and customers have successfully grown into a 113 store accounting for $890 million in sales. The stores combined bring in over 25 million customers annually. We cater to wide range of customers from family, groups of kids and adults providing an extraordinary fun and unforgettable experience. First oversea expansion was targeted to the United States as the company opened up the 1st store abroad in City of Industry, California back in August of 2010. From there the company has continued to add and now has 9 and counting. 2016 has at least 3 stores scheduled to open in Grapevine TX, Concord CA and Exton PA.

We are currently recruiting staff members and managers to join the company and help with the growth and the development. They will specifically be roles in opening up new locations and operating them. Employment of staff and managers operating existing stores are available as well. All employees with significant performances and outputs will be considered for internal advancement to GM. Beyond GM is a District Manager role. Depending on the skills and the expertise, advancing to a specific HQ position is possible as well.
