Customer Service/Billing Specialist

Manages customer accounts, processes invoices, and resolves billing inquiries promptly. Key duties include issuing accurate invoices, tracking payments, updating client records, and handling disputes to ensure high customer satisfaction. This role requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and proficiency in office software.

Monday – Friday     8am-5pm    hour lunch  (Overtime occasionally available)

Pay Range: $20-$25 based on experience

Must have reliable transportation

Job Summary/Objective

Client of Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service and Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage the end-to-end billing cycle while providing excellent service to our clients regarding their accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue accurate invoices to customers.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat regarding billing questions and disputes.
• Update and maintain customer account records, including contact information and payment methods.
• Track payments and follow up on overdue accounts (collections).
• Process payments, refunds, and credits.
• Collaborate with the sales or operations teams to ensure billing accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).
• Proven experience as a billing specialist, customer service representative, or similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with accounting or CRM software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
