Customer Service / Inside sales

Job Summary

The inside sales and customer service role combines revenue generation with client retention. This professional acts as the primary remote point of contact for customer inquiries, order fulfillment, and relationship building via phone, email, and digital tools (Customer portals / EDI).

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Support: Answer inbound calls and emails, provide product or service details, and resolve complaints or shipping questions.
• Sales & Upselling: Proactively contact leads, cross-sell relevant items, quote pricing, and close transactions.
• Order Processing: Enter sales orders, verify stock availability, track delivery lead times, and manage billing or contract terms specifically in regards to payables, credits, returns, etc.
• CRM Management: File all customer interactions, update status, and track account histories using internal software.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with outside sales, production, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure smooth account resolution.
• Quote Process Initiation / Management: Coordinates inquires and referrals into formal quotes in the ERP system. Monitors progress and travel of quotes through purchasing, engineering and sales / leadership.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP / CRM systems (e.g., Oracle, JD Edwards, E2 etc.) and office suites (Microsoft Excel, Outlook).
• Customer Focus: Strong problem-solving abilities and a patient, relationship-driven demeanor.
• Experience: Prefer 1 to 3 years of combined experience in B2B or B2C customer service, retail, or inside sales.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $23.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
