Customer Service Representative – Manufacturing

Location: Beverly, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay: $25–$28 per hour, depending on experience

Job Summary

A well-established manufacturing company in Beverly, MA is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join its team. This position is ideal for someone with strong customer service and organizational skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Customer Service Representative will serve as a key point of contact for customers, coordinating orders, quotes, inquiries, and support requests while working closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for commercial and military/aerospace customers.

• Respond to customer inquiries, orders, requests, and support needs.

• Assist with RFQs, RFPs, and contract review processes, particularly for defense and aerospace customers.

• Process customer orders, quotes, returns, and related documentation accurately using ERP systems.

• Coordinate with engineering, production, logistics, and other internal departments to ensure timely fulfillment.

• Monitor order status and proactively communicate updates, delays, or changes to customers.

• Maintain accurate records of customer communications, transactions, and feedback.

• Assist with resolving customer issues related to product quality, delivery, documentation, or order requirements.

• Support the sales team with customer information, reporting, follow-up, and administrative activities.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

• Ensure customer requirements and documentation are handled accurately and in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably within a manufacturing, defense, aerospace, or technical environment.

• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills.

• Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.

Preferred Experience

Knowledge of military and aerospace industry standards and terminology is a plus, including:

• ITAR

• EAR

• DFARS

• AS9100

• ISO 9001

• MIL-STDs

• Aerospace documentation and compliance protocols

Additional Requirement

U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to ITAR-related requirements.
