Summary / Primary Role:
  • The position of Customer Service Representative I will have primary responsibility to work directly with customers and carriers on daily order requirements.
  • Responsibilities also include monitoring product and communication flow between warehouse and office, which includes maintaining 100% inventory, resolving problems, monitoring the quality of our service while adhering to policies and procedures. 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safe working conditions in office and adherence to OSHA regulations
  • Ensure workspace and office conditions maintain clean, professional appearance.
  • Maintain databases to ensure accurate customer, vendor information is entered and current
  • Build computerized distribution lists
  • Create customer inventory activity reports
  • Review daily inbound and outbound requirements.
  • Process inbound and outbound orders in systems.
  • Maintain and monitor Customer Order Screens and White Board.
  • Track orders [with Warehouse Manager] in and out of warehouse
  • Track needs for daily orders with customers
  • Make BOLs for shipments
  • Monitor any issues with inventory locations and correct immediately
  • Transmit BOLs and COAs to customers as required
  • Adhere to enforce policies and procedures
  • Resolve customer issues in a professional manner
  • Maintain thorough understanding of warehouse management software
  • Maintain thorough understanding of warehouse bar coding scanning where required
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.

Education:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 months working in customer service or with warehouse management systems or demonstrated customer service expertise required
Language Ability:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals required.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence required.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization required.
Math Ability:
  • Ability to work with simple mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplications, and divisions required.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations required.
 Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions required.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of operational instructions required.
Computer Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to type 30 WPM required.

Expected Hours of Work:
  • Associates must work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes, however the expectations of the position will require an average of forty (40) hours with overtime required as scheduled.
