Reports to: Customer Service Manager

Status: Full Time Regular Non-Exempt

Summary of Position:

 

The Customer Service Representative provides excellent service to our customers and performs general clerical and data entry functions. The incumbent will work in a team environment and interact with the sales team as well.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Receives purchase orders from customers.
  • Confirms correct pricing and checks inventory.
  • Confirms with customer and makes changes as necessary.
  • Opens mail; stamps and copies checks.
  • Matches receivers to purchase orders and enters into system.
  • Prepares quotes per sales team requests.
  • Delivers excellent customer service.
  • Performs general office functions to include answering phones, filing, data entry, billing of customer invoices, and sending customer invoices.
  • Assists with answering incoming calls.
  • Creates back orders and issues to plant.
  • Maintains files.
  • Sends proof of deliveries as required.
  • Processes vendor billing packets and mails.

 

Qualifications:

  • General office skills to include data entry and solid computer skills
  • Strong customer service and telephone skills
  • Inventory experience
