Customer Service Representative (Manufacturing) – GC Valves, A DEMA Company

About the Role As a Customer Service Representative, you'll serve as a primary point of contact for customers, supporting day-to-day inquiries, order management, and service needs. This role is essential to delivering a seamless customer experience by ensuring accurate order entry, clear communication, and strong coordination across internal teams including sales, production, shipping, and quality.

You'll play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction while supporting the efficiency and accuracy of our operations.

What You'll Do  In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a main contact for customers via phone and email, responding to inquiries on pricing, product availability, order status, and shipments
  • Enter and process customer orders, quotes, and returns with a high level of accuracy
  • Communicate proactively with customers on order updates, confirmations, and potential delays
  • Support sales with quotes, proposals, and customer documentation
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Resolve routine customer issues and escalate more complex concerns appropriately
  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation in ERP/CRM systems
  • Track open orders and follow through to completion
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes, service levels, and team efficiency

What You Bring  We're looking for someone who combines strong communication skills with attention to detail and a customer-first mindset:

  • 3-5 years of customer service, administrative, or order processing experience (manufacturing or industrial experience preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, solutions-focused approach
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel); intermediate Excel skills preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP, MRP, or CRM systems (Epicor or similar) is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build positive relationships
  • High school diploma required; associate degree or additional coursework preferred
