Herron Family Insurance Agency is looking for a personable, dependable, and customer-focused
Customer Service Representative to join our close-knit, family-run agency in Laguna Niguel, CA.
We are a legacy agency that brings tradition into today's insurance landscape. We take pride in providing thoughtful insurance guidance, building lasting client relationships, and delivering a level of service that goes beyond simply answering questions or processing requests.
The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and understands the importance of following through. While previous insurance experience and an active license are strongly preferred, we are open to the right person with a great personality, strong people skills, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to existing clients and prospective customers by phone, email, and in person.
- Assist clients with policy questions, coverage inquiries, changes, renewals, and general account servicing.
- Help clients understand their insurance options and provide thoughtful, needs-based guidance.
- Identify opportunities to round out accounts and introduce additional coverage options when appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with the sales and service teams to ensure clients receive timely and complete assistance.
- Take ownership of client requests and see them through to resolution rather than simply passing them along.
- Maintain accurate client information, documentation, and follow-up within the agency management system.
- Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve policy questions and service-related issues.
- Proactively follow up with clients and help ensure a positive overall experience.
Qualifications
- Previous insurance agency experience preferred.
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license strongly preferred.
- Open to unlicensed candidates with the right personality, work ethic, and willingness to obtain their license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to think critically, take initiative, and solve problems independently.
- A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help wherever needed.
- Dependable, accountable, and committed to following through on responsibilities.
- A genuine desire to help people and provide outstanding customer care.
