Customer Service Representative (Showroom)
Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused Customer Service Representative to support our showroom operations and deliver an exceptional experience to every customer. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, answering questions, processing orders, and ensuring customers receive outstanding service from their initial visit through order completion.
The Customer Service Representative serves as a key point of contact for homeowners, contractors, and business customers, assisting with product inquiries, order management, and showroom support.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers and provide a welcoming showroom experience.
Assist customers with product inquiries, availability, and order information.
Process sales orders, invoices, and customer transactions accurately.
Follow up on order status, backorders, and customer requests.
Answer incoming phone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain positive relationships with customers through excellent service and communication.
Coordinate customer pickups and ensure orders are completed accurately.
Support showroom organization, cleanliness, and product displays.
Assist with inventory counts and inventory-related tasks.
Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
Work collaboratively with sales, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
Meet service expectations while supporting branch goals.
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
Depending on business needs, this role may also assist with:
Order entry and administrative support.
Shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
Customer pickup coordination.
Basic warehouse and showroom support functions.
General branch operations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework is a plus.
13 years of customer service, retail, administrative support, or related experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professional phone and email etiquette.
Excellent computer and data entry skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude with a strong customer-first mindset.
Dependable, organized, and team-oriented.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
Preferred Experience
Customer service within a showroom, retail, distribution, or building materials environment.
Experience processing orders and supporting customers throughout the purchasing process.
Familiarity with inventory, order tracking, and customer account management.
