    Location: Boston, MA
    Type: Full-Time | Industry: Freight Forwarding & Customs Brokerage
    Salary: $55,000

    About Us:
    We are a leading international freight forwarder with a strong reputation for reliability, compliance, and customer-focused service. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled Customs Entry Writer to join our Customs Brokerage team.

    Position Summary:
    As a Customs Entry Writer, you'll be responsible for preparing and submitting customs entries for air and ocean imports while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values accuracy, communication, and teamwork.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and file customs entries in accordance with U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agency (PGA) regulations.

    • Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).

    • Review documents for completeness and compliance (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, etc.).

    • Coordinate with clients, carriers, customs officers, and internal departments to ensure timely release and delivery of shipments.

    • Monitor and track entry status, resolve delays or holds, and update clients accordingly.

    • Maintain organized and up-to-date records for audit readiness.

    • Stay current with changing customs regulations and industry best practices.

    Requirements:

    • 35 years of experience as a Customs Entry Writer in a freight forwarding or customs brokerage environment.

    • Strong knowledge of HTS classification, entry types, and import documentation.

    • Familiarity with ACE, ABI systems, and other customs-related platforms.

    • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

    • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

    • Customs broker license is a plus, but not required.
