Position Overview
A premier healthcare system is seeking an experienced and dedicated CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join its highly specialized Open Heart Team in Newark, Delaware. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a fast-paced cardiovascular surgical environment alongside an expert multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
The ideal candidate will have strong Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) and open-heart surgical experience with a passion for clinical excellence and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care within the Cardiovascular Operating Room
Assist during cardiac and open-heart surgical procedures
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff
Ensure patient safety and adherence to surgical best practices
Participate in on-call rotation for cardiovascular surgical cases
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support quality care initiatives
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Minimum 3 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
Prior CVOR/Open-Heart experience required
BSN preferred
ADN candidates with strong relevant experience and commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years may be considered
