Cyber Security Engineer Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid) Duration: 24 months + Interview mode: In person/Virtual interview Rate: DOE

This position serves as a subject matter expert on all aspects of cyber security engineering and centralized cyber security service development participates in cross functional teams as a cyber security engineer. Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Serve as a core contributor on multi-disciplinary project teams to improve the State cybersecurity services/solutions and respective implementation, including requirements development.
Work with stakeholders to assess legacy systems and identify opportunities for improved cyber security of future systems.
Lead technical solutioning to address agency intake requests and operational requirements.
Assess solutions for implementation within the State as part of centralized services.
Required Experience:
5 years of real experience in cyber security is mandatory.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
Specific experience in engineering and implementing cyber solutions.
Experience working in cross functional teams as a cyber engineer.
Experience leading solution assessment and requirements development and alignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate degree or certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA
Experience as a cyber engineer supporting Endpoint Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Firewall, (P)DNS, SSL, CDN, and other core cyber services.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts.
Project management skills, with experience in planning, scheduling, and monitoring the delivery of cybersecurity services.
