    Job Description

    About the Role

    EDC Consulting is seeking Cybersecurity Analysts to protect the sensitive systems, data, and networks of Federal agencies. You will support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, vulnerability management, and security operations in an environment where the margin for error is zero.

    What You Will Do

    • Support RMF implementation and Authority to Operate (ATO) packages

    • Perform vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities

    • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents

    • Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and security documentation

    • Assess systems against NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-171 controls

    • Support CMMC compliance and cybersecurity policy development

    • Recommend improvements to strengthen the agency's security posture

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field

    • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, RMF, or security operations

    • Working knowledge of NIST frameworks and Federal security requirements

    • DoD 8570/8140 compliant certification (for example, Security+ or CISSP)

    • U.S. citizenship required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel

    • Experience with vulnerability tools such as Tenable/Nessus

    • CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CASP+ certification

    • Active security clearance (Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI)
