Cytogenetic Scientist

Location: Norfolk, VA Area
Permanent Direct Hire | Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Cytogenetic Scientist to join a specialized laboratory team in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. This position offers the opportunity to work in a highly technical environment supporting advanced diagnostic testing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and interpret cytogenetic testing procedures
• Analyze chromosome studies and laboratory findings
• Review and document test results according to established protocols
• Maintain quality control standards and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with laboratory leadership and clinical teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cytogenetics, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
• ASCP Cytogenetic Scientist (CG) certification required
• Experience with clinical cytogenetics preferred
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
