Position Overview

River Edge is seeking a compassionate and dedicated part-time CARES Counselor to join our team, providing support to clients and their families, participating in treatment planning and case management, collaborating with clients and treatment team members, offering consultation to referral resources and mentors, modeling healthy coping skills and wellness activities, maintaining accurate clinical records in the EMR system, adhering to all ethical and legal guidelines, working with all areas of Addictive Disease, including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), and performing other duties as assigned.

Location and Schedule

175 Emery Highway, Macon, GA - Tuesday and Thursday, 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, 8:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to individual clients and their families. • Participate in treatment planning and case management. • Work collaboratively with clients and River Edge treatment team members to help support clients in their treatment and recovery. • Provide consultation and support to referral resources, mentors, family members, and others to help support clients in their recovery. • Model and support health and wellness activities and healthy coping skills for clients. • Maintain quality, up-to-date clinical records, including case notes, treatment plan reviews, discharge planning, and Outcomes Survey, and enter necessary information into River Edges electronic medical records (EMR) system. • Adhere to all federal, state, and regulatory, ethical, and legal guidelines as an addiction professional. • Work with all areas of Addictive Disease, including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). • Other assigned duties as requested.

Qualifications

Required:

• Certification or Licensure: CARES certification, CPS-AD with at least two years of experience in a recovery-oriented system of care or social services-related position. • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
