Daily Substitute Teachers

Sandyston-Walpack Consolidated School is seeking qualified individuals to serve as substitute teachers in grades PreK-6. Substitutes play an important role in maintaining a consistent, productive learning environment when classroom teachers are absent. This is a per diem position, following the Sandyston-Walpack school calendar.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans left by the classroom teacher

• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment

• Take attendance and follow established school routines and procedures

• Communicate any concerns or notable incidents to the appropriate staff member at the end of the day

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Substitute Teacher certificate required

• Experience working with school-age children preferred

• Reliable, professional, and able to adapt quickly to different classroom settings
