his contractor will support the Fraud & Disputes organization and replace a departing resource. The role focuses on:
- Control monitoring and reporting
- Risk analysis and business monitoring
- Risk events, issues, and remediation activities
- Fraud and card data architecture analysis
- Converting and maintaining control scripts
- Supporting automation and control testing initiatives
- Building and enhancing reporting and monitoring controls
- Strong SQL (most important skill)
- Python
- Data architecture experience
- Snowflake
- Databricks
- AWS (S3/related data services)
- Tableau
- Amazon QuickSight
- Risk or controls background
- Financial services experience
- Credit card/fraud domain experience
- Prior bank experience
- 3-5+ years of experience
- Strong data analysis and scripting capabilities
- Experience working with large datasets and control/reporting environments
- Ability to learn fraud data architecture quickly
Candidate will primarily support:
- Conversion and modernization of control scripts
- Data architecture and population migrations
- Control automation initiatives
- Monitoring and reducing false positives
- New control development and control testing enhancements
- Reports into Fraud & Disputes team
- Will partner closely with:
- Full-time associates
- Another contractor on the team
- bank's DA (Data Analyst) pillar
- Strong onboarding and peer review support available
- Richmond candidates strongly preferred due to team collaboration needs.
- Standard contractor furloughs (Thanksgiving and year-end) apply.
- Candidates from banking, financial services, credit card, fraud, or risk environments may ramp up faster.
- All candidates must complete the DA Glider assessment, including former bank contractors.
- Prioritize candidates with strong SQL + Python.
- Databricks experience is especially valuable.
- Snowflake and AWS exposure are important.
- Fraud, risk, controls, or financial services backgrounds are preferred but not required.
- Need someone capable of both technical analysis and understanding business/risk impacts.
