Job Description & Skill Requirement:

Software Engineer / Research Contributor

Required background/knowledge/skillsets:

1. PhD Level Knowledge in Statistical Analysis
2. Intermediate Level Python Skills
3. Good knowledge of Digital Signal Processing

Good to have but not a must:

1. Exposure to Database (good to have, but not a must)

Workdays spent supporting the following efforts:

1. PSD Load Development Project

a. Conducting technical research
b. Analyzing system requirements
c. Supporting the development of load generation and performance evaluation methodologies
d. Collaborate with stakeholders to investigate system behavior, identify improvement opportunities, and provide data-driven recommendations to support project objectives.

2. DATK Support

a. Developed and maintained DATK application components, with a focus on backend code development, enhancement, and troubleshooting.
b. Participated in code migration efforts to modernize existing solutions, improve maintainability, and ensure compatibility with updated platforms and frameworks.
c. Help improve system reliability and efficiency by Diagnosing and resolving backend issues through debugging, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
d. Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features, validate technical solutions, and support testing activities.
e. Contributed to code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high-quality software development standards.
f. Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that support research and operational goals.
