Project Overview
Project Nova is a multi-year platform transformation program with Evernorth focused on building a new cloud-native pharmacy benefit management (PBM) platform while re-implementing and migrating existing PBM capabilities and client business in waves.
Client leads Program Management and Governance, Integrated Delivery Management, and Operating Model and Readiness through an Orchestration Hub coordinating two delivery arms: capability build and integration/re-implementation, across approximately 16 functional workstreams.
Position Overview
The Data Architect will be responsible for defining enterprise data requirements and structure.
This individual will model and design application data structures, storage, and integrations to ensure efficient, scalable, and sustainable data management.
The ideal candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep technical knowledge and experience, strong influencing and advisory skills, and the ability to work across multiple teams.
The Data Architect will be expected to take ownership of team decisions, develop solutions to complex problems spanning multiple teams, and address broader business-area challenges.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in Data Architecture and related required areas.
- Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) experience is REQUIRED.
- Candidates must have demonstrated hands-on PBM experience within their professional work history.
- Healthcare industry experience is REQUIRED.
- Professional Degree required.
- Strong experience in Data Architecture.
- Strong experience in Enterprise Data Strategy.
- Strong experience in Data Assessment.
- Strong experience in Data Governance.
- Expert proficiency in Data Architecture principles.
- Expert proficiency in Data & AI Architecture Design Strategy.
- Expert proficiency in Cloud Architecture.
- Experience with Agentic Data Architecture Design.
- Experience designing enterprise data structures, storage, and integrations.
- Strong communication, influencing, advisory, and stakeholder-management skills.
Note: PBM experience is a MUST-HAVE requirement for this position.

- Define enterprise data requirements and structures.
- Model and design application data structures.
- Design data storage solutions that support scalability and performance.
- Define and support data integration strategies.
- Develop enterprise-level data architecture solutions.
- Apply Data & AI Architecture Design Strategy.
- Apply Cloud Architecture principles to enterprise data solutions.
- Support Agentic Data Architecture Design.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for data architecture and PBM-related data.
- Collaborate with multiple teams and functional workstreams.
- Provide architectural guidance and recommendations.
- Influence technical and business stakeholders.
- Take responsibility for team-level architectural decisions.
- Develop solutions to complex problems that span multiple teams.
- Address data architecture and business challenges across the organization.
- Support the transformation and migration of existing PBM capabilities into the new cloud-native platform.

8+ years of Data Architecture experience combined with significant healthcare/PBM experience.
