Job Description:- Client is seeking two experienced Data Center Facility Engineers to support client Services as staff augmentation resources. The engineers will help operate, monitor, maintain, and document critical data center facility infrastructure while coordinating with clients IT, facilities, security, and vendor teams.
Core Responsibilities:- Operate and monitor critical facility systems, including UPS, generators, transfer switches, power distribution, cooling, environmental monitoring, and building-management systems.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance coordination, operational checks, and issue escalation in accordance with clients procedures and applicable manufacturer guidance.
- Troubleshoot facility alarms and infrastructure issues, coordinate vendor support, and document incidents, corrective actions, and maintenance activity.
- Maintain accurate records for facility configurations, change activity, capacity, asset inventory, rack layouts, and cable management.
- Support physical security controls, access procedures, audit readiness, and protection of sensitive information in accordance with clients policies.
- Coordinate with network, systems, security, facilities, and project teams on upgrades, migrations, and other infrastructure initiatives.
- Participate in an agreed on-call or after-hours support rotation once schedule and coverage requirements are confirmed.
Required Qualifications:- Three or more years of hands-on experience in data center operations, critical facilities, facility engineering, or infrastructure support.
- Working knowledge of critical power, cooling, environmental monitoring, fire/life-safety interfaces, and physical infrastructure.
- Experience with data center infrastructure management or comparable monitoring and asset-management platforms.
- Ability to read technical documentation, follow change and safety procedures, and maintain clear operational records.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently in a mission-critical environment and respond appropriately to operational incidents.
- Ability to meet the physical and scheduling requirements of the assigned facility, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and occasional after-hours coverage.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience supporting healthcare, regulated, or other mission-critical environments.
- Knowledge of relevant data center practices and standards, including NFPA, ASHRAE thermal guidance, TIA data center/cabling standards, and OSHA safety requirements.
- " Experience with change-management and ticketing systems, capacity planning, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
- Relevant certifications or training such as CDCP/CDCS, CompTIA Server+, OSHA, BICSI, or vendor-specific power and cooling credentials.
- Basic knowledge of network infrastructure and Windows or Linux operating environments.
