Data Center Storage Engineer

Location: Austin, Texas (Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Center Storage Engineer for a project-based role. This position involves preparing for and building a pipeline for IRR business. The role requires a candidate with experience in storage and backup logical data recovery to conduct assessments, rebuild appliances, and support data recovery efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a thorough initial assessment and analysis of storage and backup infrastructure.
• Rebuild storage appliances with a clean operating system and implement security best practices.
• Perform filesystem level assessment and recovery, including partial file or volume recoveries.
• Apply security hardening procedures to the storage infrastructure.
• Analyze the feasibility of data recovery from sources such as virtual SAN storage, hard drives, and storage appliances.
• Support the recovery process by identifying and restoring lost data from backups and impacted storage.
• Implement appropriate data recovery techniques based on the storage media and damage level.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in Storage and Backup Logical Data Recovery.

Technical Skills: Must have solid experience with at least one of the following: Veeam, DataDomain, Avamar, PPDM, ECS, Compellent.
