## About the Role

Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to help build and scale the data infrastructure powering its AI-driven healthcare platform. This individual will contribute to the ingestion, transformation, storage, and processing of complex datasets, helping ensure information is reliable, accessible, and ready for downstream analytics and AI applications.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in programming and data engineering, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and is interested in working with emerging AI technologies. This opportunity may be a fit for an early-career engineer looking to grow their skills while contributing to real-world applications of AI and healthcare data.

## Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data ingestion processes that bring together information from multiple sources and formats.
• Build, improve, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to transform, validate, and organize large datasets.
• Support data storage and processing systems designed to handle structured and unstructured data.
• Develop and maintain vector embedding generation pipelines that support AI-powered search, retrieval, and analysis.
• Help optimize data workflows for reliability, scalability, performance, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with software engineers and machine learning engineers to prepare data for AI models, applications, and automated workflows.
• Troubleshoot data quality issues, pipeline failures, and performance bottlenecks.
• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to testing, documentation, and engineering best practices.
• Explore graph-based data structures and technologies used to connect complex relationships across healthcare datasets.

## Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python or another programming language, with the ability to write and troubleshoot code.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of data structures, data processing, and database fundamentals.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines
