TITLE:  Data Engineer

SHIFT:  Monday – Friday, standard business hours


We are seeking a Data Engineer to support the development of cloud-based data solutions and data processing environments. This role is responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, preparing and transforming data for reporting and analytics, and supporting business intelligence and machine learning initiatives using Azure-based technologies and related tools.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify, prepare, and organize data required for business intelligence and machine learning solutions
  • Build data architectures and data pipelines to consolidate and process data from multiple sources
  • Design solutions using Microsoft Azure services, Databricks, and related technologies
  • Cleanse, map, transform, and optimize data for storage and business use based on technical and functional requirements
  • Automate tasks and deploy production-ready code using testing, versioning, and continuous integration practices
  • Load transformed data into data warehouses, reporting systems, analytics applications, and related storage environments
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with data engineering and cloud data processing services within Microsoft Azure environments
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing and ETL tools
  • Experience working with big data technologies such as Databricks or Alteryx
  • Experience building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines, architectures, and datasets
  • Knowledge of SQL and Python/PySpark
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and practices
Preferred
  • Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Java, or SAS
  • Experience with performance-focused and security-oriented data modeling and database design
  • Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of Purview, Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau
  • Azure Data Engineer certification preferred
