Project Management Assistant (Data Entry)

Location: Columbus, OH 43215

Duration: 12-month contract + extension

Pay Rate: $26/hr

Overview

Exelon is seeking a highly organized and detail‑driven Project Management Assistant (PMA) to support contract administration activities for a major utility organization. This role is essential to ensuring that project contracts, changes, and payments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with internal requirements. You'll work closely with Project Managers to manage contract workflows, resolve discrepancies, and maintain precise documentation across multiple systems.

If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy structured processes, and take pride in accuracy, this role will put your strengths to work.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in project administration, facilities administration, data entry, or similar operational support roles (e.g., creating requisitions, processing service requests, document control, payment processing)
  • Ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Strong proficiency with enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, Maximo, or Asset Suite 8
  • Experience supporting project coordination activities: tracking deliverables, managing shared documentation, and balancing competing priorities
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and professional interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and collaborative team player

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience supporting construction, engineering, or utility projects
  • Familiarity with contracts, contract terms, and change management processes

Role Responsibilities

As a Project Management Assistant, you will support the full lifecycle of contract-related activities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contract Requisitions (CREQs): Create and manage requisitions in AS8, ensuring all project details from proposals are accurately entered.
  • Contract Payment Authorizations (CPAs): Process CPAs in AS8, route for approvals, manage invoices, and complete required checklists.
  • Contract Change Requests (CCRs): Enter and manage CCRs, ensuring all project information is complete and approvals are obtained.
  • Project Initiation & Closeout: Create and manage work orders (WO), project IDs (PID), and service requests (SR) in AS8. Finalize CPAs and prepare CCRs to close out projects and contracts.
  • Data Accuracy & Issue Resolution: Communicate with Project Managers to clarify discrepancies, ensure compliance, and resolve issues promptly.

You will serve as a key operational partner to the project management team—helping ensure every project is accurately documented, compliant, and ready to move forward.
