The Data Processing Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, organizing, maintaining, and processing company and event-related information. This position supports Boise Centre's administrative and operational functions by ensuring that records, reports, invoices, event information, and other data are entered and maintained accurately and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and comfortable working with large amounts of information while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. The Data Processing Clerk works closely with internal departments to ensure that information is complete, up to date, and readily accessible. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Enter, update, verify, and maintain data in company databases, spreadsheets, and other computer systems.
Process and organize event-related information, records, forms, and documentation.
Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency and correct errors as needed.
Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports, logs, and administrative records.
Assist with processing invoices, purchase orders, receipts, and other financial or operational documentation.
Organize electronic and physical files and maintain an efficient records-management system.
Retrieve and compile information for internal reports and management requests.
Assist with tracking event schedules, client information, equipment, supplies, and other operational data.
Verify information received from various departments and follow up on missing or inconsistent information.
Maintain confidentiality of company, client, employee, and financial information.
Assist with data reconciliation and identify discrepancies for appropriate follow-up.
Scan, upload, label, and organize documents within designated electronic filing systems.
Respond to routine information requests from employees, clients, and other authorized individuals.
Provide administrative support to the Operations, Event Services, Finance, and other departments as needed.
Follow established data-entry procedures, company policies, and quality-control standards.
Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous data entry, clerical, administrative, or office experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Ability to learn and use databases, scheduling systems, and other software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet established deadlines.
Preferred
Experience in hospitality, event management, convention centers, hotels, or a similar service-oriented environment.
Experience with event-management, accounting, database, or document-management software.
