Data Quality and Profiling Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a Data Quality and Profiling Specialist to join our rapidly growing BI/DW team You will work with cross functional teams from across the business to assist in design and development of mastered enterprise data domain(s) to ensure high quality data for the organization, assist in design and development of enterprise data quality transformation, and lead the design and development of solution development life cycle (SDLC) activities.

Responsibilities:

Access business impact level for data quality issues, determine root causes and make recommendations for long-term solutions.

Identify, assess, monitor, document, and communicate potential quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used.

Implement Data Quality measures like Profiling, Defining Metrics, Standards, policies and visual analytics to support MDM and Data Governance initiatives.

Perform data profiling and statistical tests, verifying the integrity of complex datasets.

Collaborate with data stewards, data custodians and business partners to define data quality standards for error detection.

Create and implement a Data Change Management strategy to ensure data quality, data governance.

Collaborate with Business Leadership to define vision, data policies and processes, and change management roadmaps

Define and operationalize governance processes for creation/change of data, to define business rules, and to improve data quality, integrity, and consistency

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and engineering leads to launch scalable and reliable data solutions, support data integration efforts, and create operational efficiencies through cross-functional data decision-making and alignment

Requirements:

3+ years experience with Data Quality and Data Profiling

Experience with advanced analytic skills using SQL or Python in Snowflake

Experience with Informatica Cloud Data Quality

Exposure to tools used to support data management including data profiling and data quality.

Ability to analyze large datasets

Experience with technical delivery in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Ability to clearly communicate technical details to business and management personnel

Work independently or as part of a team to design and develop solutions.

Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information management, or similar.
