Data Science Intern (Advertisement Team) - 2027 Start (PhD)

Our vision is to become a world-class data science team where data is used rigorously to drive all decision-making. Our mission is to drive monetization and sustainable revenue growth for TikTok through data science.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. PhD internships at Our Company provide students with the opportunity to actively contribute to our products and research, as well as to the organization s future plans and emerging technologies. Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets to solve challenging business problems using a range of analytical methods.
• Design, analyze, and interpret projects end-to-end, from data requirement gathering and processing to modeling and developing actionable business recommendations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities that leverage advanced analytical and modeling techniques.
• Design, execute, and interpret experiments, including A/B tests, to generate actionable insights.
• Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to team leadership and contribute to strategic decision-making. Minimum Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a PhD degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Analytics.
• Experience with data querying and manipulation using SQL, Python, or R.
• Experience performing data analysis using a scripting language such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
• Must be able to commit to a 12-week full-time internship during Summer 2027.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or research experience in data science.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Strong ability to learn quickly, work independently, and solve complex problems creatively.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to translate analytical insights into business impact.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, culturally diverse, and globally distributed team environment.
