Data Scientist

Responsibilities: of the Data Scientist: Build analytic-ready datasets from healthcare claims, EHR, and other real-world data sources. Query and transform large datasets using R, SQL, and database tools such as dbplyr. Apply study protocols and statistical analysis plans to identify study populations and create patient cohorts. Develop longitudinal datasets that track treatments, outcomes, and patient characteristics over time. Support statistical analyses and causal inference studies using observational healthcare data. Evaluate data quality and analysis performance through diagnostics and validation checks. Create tables, figures, and reports summarizing study findings and key outcomes. Develop reproducible and well-documented analytical workflows. Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality control activities. Collaborate with statisticians, epidemiologists, and other scientific teams throughout the research process. Qualifications: of the Data Scientist: Strong programming experience with R. Experience querying relational databases using SQL or database interfaces. Ability to write organized, reproducible, and maintainable code. Understanding of statistical analysis and observational research methods. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Experience working with healthcare data, including claims or EHR datasets, is preferred. Experience building longitudinal datasets is preferred. Master's degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Health Economics, or a related quantitative field; or equivalent professional experience.
