Data Scientist- Senior

Position Title: Data Scientist- Senior Location: Redstone Arsenal Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support complex scientific and technical efforts through the application of data science, statistics, modeling, and computational methods. This position will emphasize scientific problem-solving, research, modeling, and experimentation rather than traditional data visualization and business analytics. Responsibilities:

Apply data science, statistical, and computational methods to complex scientific and technical problems. Develop and validate statistical, predictive, and scientific models. Analyze complex datasets to support research, experimentation, and technical decision-making. Support modeling and simulation efforts and scientific research activities. Develop data-driven methodologies and algorithms to address technical challenges. Collaborate with scientists, engineers, analysts, and other technical personnel. Document technical approaches, methodologies, findings, and results. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, a physical science, or related field. 8+ years of relevant professional experience. Active Top Secret security clearance. Strong background in data science, statistics, scientific computing, modeling, or a related technical discipline. Experience with Python, R, MATLAB, or similar programming and data science tools. Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a technical team.
