Data Specialist

Position Purpose The Choate Rosemary Hall Advancement Office seeks a collaborative, solutions-oriented Data Specialist to support the effective use of data and technology across the department. The Advancement Office builds meaningful relationships with alumni, families, and friends to foster lifelong engagement and inspire philanthropic support for the School. Reporting to the Director of Advancement Services, the Data Specialist plays an important role in this work through data management, reporting, systems support, and process improvement, helping colleagues work more effectively and efficiently. Essential Responsibilities Maintain accurate and reliable constituent, fundraising, and alumni data, including monitoring data imports, identifying discrepancies, and supporting quality-control efforts.Create and maintain reports, queries, and data extracts to support fundraising, alumni engagement, and departmental operations.Collaborate with Advancement colleagues to understand their needs and deliver accurate, useful, and timely data.Support the effective use of Advancement systems, including troubleshooting issues, assisting users, and documenting procedures.Coordinate the department's request ticketing system, tracking requests and supporting timely resolution.Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual tasks, and increase efficiency through technology, automation, and responsible use of AI tools.Assist with data validation, system updates, integrations, and other projects under the direction of the Director of Advancement Services.Provide cross-functional support during peak work periods and perform other related duties as assigned.
