We are hiring Database Management Specialist- Senior to support an enterprise-level program within a federal environment.Job Description and Responsibilitiesprovides technical expertise in Oracle database design, administration, optimization, security, and maintenance. The role supports mission-critical applications through database analysis, solution development, performance improvement, data integrity management, and collaboration with project teams on database architecture, integration, and operational support.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)Knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database administration across physical and cloud environments, including implementations, upgrades, and application support.Skill in database development and administration, including schema/data loading, SQL scripting, and creation and modification of tables, views, indexes, and other database objects.Ability to manage database user access, security controls, and account administration while maintaining compliance with organizational security requirements.Skill in database performance monitoring, analysis, and optimization, including use of Oracle AWR reports to identify performance issues and recommend improvements.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related application issues, errors, and performance problems while coordinating effectively with application and DBA infrastructure teams.Knowledge of database security and compliance practices, including researching, documenting, and remediating STIG findings and supporting approved Oracle database upgrades.Desired KSABe a positive, self-motivated, and proactive person with the ability to adapt to change and tolerate stressful situationsCandidate must communicate effectively with team members, team lead, management, and government customerMust have the ability and desire to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems with minimal supervisionMinimum Training, Education, and CertificationsFive (5) years of relevant experienceAbility to run Automated Workload Repository (AWR) reportsIAT-II requires one of the following current certifications: CND, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security + CE, or SSCPAzure Database AdministratorMinimum ClearanceSecretPhysical RequirementsRequired to stand, walk and sit; communicate verbally both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
