Day Custodian

Trace Inc. is a Military Contractor and has been in business since 1993. We are currently located on 19 different Military Bases throughout the nation.

Trace is excited to announce that we are looking to hire 1 new Day Custodian who can start work immediatley. In addition to a host of free Benefits, the starting pay is $17.75/Hour. Shift 11:00AM to 7:00PM. The work days will be determined by Project Manager. The Custodian will work 5 Days/Week. The Days will be deterimined by the Project Manager.

Day Custodian Responsibilities:

• Day Custodian shall respond to requests to pick up refrigerated and frozen items left at the checkout point, or found during routine day custodial activities, and return these immediately to a designated area,
• Continually remove from throughout the commissary sales area all cardboard generated by sales activity and shall place the cardboard in the baler.
• Day custodial care is generally limited to rapid response and quick fix action necessary to maintain clean and safe conditions.
• Throughout the day custodial shift, and at least every 2 hours, the Custodian shall clean, maintain, and resupply restrooms as needed. Clean, maintain, and resupply means emptying trash receptacles to prevent overflow; removing debris and litter from floors and furnishings; spot cleaning fixtures, floors and walls; replenishing paper products, soap and other supplies to prevent outages, replacing burnt out light bulbs, and reporting facility or equipment defects to the Store Director
• Respond to any unclean or unsafe conditions in commissary entrance, exit, front end, cart storage, sales floor areas, or in break rooms, locker rooms, restrooms, or the RSHA.
• Responsible to clean any broken merchandise containers, spills, accumulation of debris or trash of any sort in the above mentioned areas.
• Within five (5) minutes of notification, the Custodian shall begin taking whatever action may be necessary to clean up or remove the condition identified, to include removal of ice and snow build-up.
• During these clean-up operations, the Custodian shall take appropriate precautions, such as blocking off unsafe areas, or posting “wet floor” signs as needed.
• Follow all Safety procedures.
• Become familiar with all Safety Data Sheets for cleaning chemicals.
